My agenda is from the people living here
I am a Councillor for Skye and Raasay. I was elected on the 20th of June 2025 as one of four Councillors for Eilean a’ Cheò, Ward 10, for The Highland Council.
I will always put the communities and businesses of Skye and Raasay first. I am working with other Highland Independent Councillors. While I am happy working along side all of the Councillors, I remain free from any party ties.
I believe in the power of our communities and their ability to collaborate and overcome challenges together.
This website was originally started to share my research and what I am learning through my various roles. This will be shared as soon as I carve some time.

Community Development. I was raised
on Raasay, studied at Portree High School
and then University at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on
Skye. I have lived and worked here for much
of my adult life, and I am acutely aware of
the impact Highland Council has on our daily
lives.

Personal and Professional
I work in community development and representation because I followed my curiosity in history. I had worked in home care for a few years when I went back to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in 2008 to improve my Gaelic. I did keep working in homecare at the same time as the full time first year course
